Three modes, one result
The workbench is immediately available after free registration (2 minutes, no subscription). No download, no installation.
After logging in, find it under Pioneer Lab → Workbench. Three tabs at the top: Device Picker, Function List and Pill Planner.
All three modes use the same solver in the background. The result is always a device list with article numbers, quantities and prices, the bill of materials.
Mode A: Device Picker
You select devices directly from the catalog. Searchable by manufacturer, function or article number. Ideal when you already know which devices you want.
Click a device to add it to the bill of materials. Quantities can be adjusted directly. The right panel shows the running price overview.
Mode B: Function List
You define rooms and specify which functions should be present in each room: how many switching points, blinds, heating circuits, etc. The solver automatically calculates which devices are needed.
The reserve slider lets you plan a percentage buffer (e.g. 10% reserve for later expansions). The manufacturer selection determines which device catalog the solver uses.
This mode is especially efficient in the early project phase when no exact device schema has been defined yet.
Mode C: Pill Planner
You see all functions as draggable "pills", small tiles that you drag and drop onto abstract endpoint cards (switching output, blind output, etc.).
This mode gives you maximum flexibility when assigning functions to endpoints. Ideal when you have a very specific device schema in mind.
Tips
- •Function list is the fastest entry point for new projects
- •The solver defaults to Theben devices. Switch to "All manufacturers" in the dropdown for more choice
- •Coming-soon functions (greyed out) are automatically unlocked as soon as matching devices become available in the catalog
- •Not registered yet? Free, 2 minutes, no subscription
